We all know that it is hard to think straight when our basic needs are not being met. We want to remove the barriers that our students face in getting to school clean, healthy, and ready to learn. The goal of this project is to use the washer and dryer to start a "teen center" in our school so that students have a safe and comfortable space to stay after school to do homework, manage personal hygiene, snack, and have fun. Thanks to the donors choose community, our teen center will have food, shampoo & conditioner, toothbrushes, and tampons ... already in stock thanks to my last project! We are now looking to add a washer and dryer so that students can wash their new clothes and come to school confident and clean.
