It is very important to have a print-rich classroom for students to learn to read independently. We read everywhere in my classroom- the carpet, at tables, walking around the room, and even on the computers. The excitement in the eyes of my students when they learn to read just makes my job that much better.
The more opportunities my students have to read a variety of books, the better readers they become. With a bigger variety of books, the more they are able to choose books that interest them. The students are also able to choose books that are on their level. This project will help to enrich my students' love for reading.
