Getting my students actively engaged in their outside world takes more than just walking them outside. Our science lab supplies are gobbled up with big budget purchases, leaving smaller purchases in the hands of the teachers' own wallets. This project gives our learners a chance to partake in a hands-on outdoor science activity that will get them on their feet, out of their seats, and donning some cool looking shades.
The eclipse glasses allow each student to safely view the solar eclipse on August 21st, which should be visible (weather dependent) for our area around 1:10 PM. Our learners will be actively engaged in science and will enjoy an out of this world experience as we participate in the Great American Eclipse and share an amazing afternoon of science.
