The room divider will be used to create a safe calm space for when my students need a break. Often times, my students with autism get overwhelmed at the world around them and they need a quiet area to compose themselves. In this area, the students are able to meet their sensory needs and then come back to what they perceive to be an overwhelming world. The wobbly chairs will help my students focus while I'm teaching 21st century skills.
The donations to this project will allow my students to be able to reduce behavioral issues because I will be able to provide appropriate stimulation that my students desperately need. Many of my students seek movement and they are unable to get in from a regular chair. These chairs will allow them to fill their sensory needs in order to facilitate learning. I am looking forward to seeing my students happier and ready to learn.
