We need 20 drawing pen tablets to help understand mathematical concepts and this equipment will help with that. Having this equipment in my classroom will allow my students to explore learning in a deeper more meaningful way. The drawing pen tablets will allow my students to use handwriting in an electronic environment. Students will have an opportunity to share their knowledge and skills, thus building confidence.
The drawing pens tablets will allow for quicker recording of student responses, which in turn, will allow for quicker sharing and feedback. In addition, the drawing tablets will allow students to create hand-drawn mathematical models as required by common core. Having the drawing tables will allow students to save examples of their work electronically, despite it being handwritten work. I plan to expand the usage of the tablets to Literacy. Students will be able to use the draw tables to annotate text, write quick responses to text questions, and keep notes on text to aid in writing.
Acquiring 21st century skills requires a different approach to teaching and learning. Giving students the tools needed will help strengthen their chances for success. This equipment will help students delve deeper into math concepts making it easier for them to understand and master.
