My goal is to prepare my high school students to be college ready. By using technology in the classroom to teach Spanish it will help my students to read authentic texts directly from Spanish speaking countries. The students will be able to read newspapers and ads and even have a pen pal in another country. In addition, they could also practice vocabulary from different language apps. By using the kindle fire they will be able to use resources such as appropriate dictionaries to translate words in the target language, they will use ebooks in Spanish to read and collaborate with class discussions, and they can experience listening through Spanish news and music.
