My students are eager learners- they are passionate and love to read! I would love to add books to our classroom library that promote individuality, problem solving, kindness, and diversity. Education as we know it has changed, but my students love for reading has only grown. I want to provide my students with a library that has a variety of books that will hold their interest and keep them reading in the classroom.
Reading books helps my students develop patience, concentration, and stamina- which in return makes them better as conversing and resolving conflicts. As educators, we have seen the set backs that COVID has brought to our field, especially socially. With these reading materials, not only will they be a service to the students love for reading, but they will also aid them in building the skills it takes to be a critical thinker and problem solver.
Readers are LEADERS! By providing my students with ample access to wonderful literature, we will be building an environment that allows them to read for enjoyment. These are books they can learn from and relate to. Once they get their hands on these wonderful examples of literature, they will begin their journey of becoming confident and fluent readers!
