Having a classroom with absolutely no technology is like having an ocean with no fish. Technology opens the doors to a new world where children can learn, while exploring the world around them. Technology is such a large part of our society today, and living in nation that is increasingly becoming technology-dependent, it is important to start familiarizing children with it as young as possible. Having Chromebooks in my classroom will provide my students with millions of books they can read online, vast amounts of learning games, and even in-classroom "field trips" during our science and social studies units. If used correctly, technology in the classroom helps prepare students for their future careers, while also addressing diverse learning styles. Technology helps students take control of their own learning, teaching them responsibility, and having these Chromebooks in my classroom will allow me to bring in even more real-life experiences for my students.
