We integrate technology throughout the day in my classroom. We use iPads during Math stations and Literacy Stations. The iPad and Computer Station is definitely their favorite, most beneficial station. Students use their ipads and headphones to increase Math skills and Reading skills. Our students have access to a variety of software, we are lacking in the amount of iPads and accessories needed to benefit all children on a daily basis. We have many students that have been affected by Harvey and many of these students don鈥檛 have access to computers and iPads at home.
By donating iPads and headphones to our project, you will not only help students stay engaged, but you will allow more opportunities for interventions and extensions. iPads are used to practice math facts, spelling, increase skills in place value , increase vocabulary and reading and even speaking skills while children record themselves speaking and reading. Children don't realize how much they're learning, because they're focused on the fun! Our district has adopted phenomenal Math software for our students. Having a couple more Ipads in the classroom will allow more students to have access to this software on a daily basis.
