This vertical gardening system gives our students the opportunity to learn about hydroponic gardening hands-on. It will give them the opportunity to collaborate with our family and consumer science classroom, growing herbs and vegetables they can use themselves!
The focus of this project is to grow local and buy local, reducing the need for GMOs and transportation of produce.
The Next Generation learning standards have set the bar for experiential learning using technology and problem solving. This system allows our classroom to do just that! Gardening indoors, even in a small space such as our classroom, is the innovation students need to see.
