Do you remember when you were young, how much fun and excitement came from playing with water? I want to provide my students with those same feelings through water play in the classroom. Currently, our class has a tiny water table built for one, which was put together using a sensory bin and table. I want to use this donor choose to request a water table and accessories for real water exploration. A water table is one of the essential pieces of equipment in a quality early childhood classroom and will provide excellent hands-on experiences for my children.
Since preschool children learn through sensory play, providing them with a quality water table and accessories, my children will have the space to explore water play and benefit from the engaging sensory experience.
Through the use of the water table and materials, my children will develop cognitive, math, literacy, problem-solving, and science skills needed for kindergarten and beyond.
The children in my class are already curious about water. Some of the children choose to play in the current water table every day. By having a quality water table, more students will become interested in learning through water play. With a new water table, I will spark interest in water. This interest will begin an investigation of water. A water study will integrate all preschool subject areas and provide my students with quality learning activities and experiences.
