I have a very energetic and active group of students. The traditional classroom setup does not fit many of my students. Currently, many of my students will stand next to their desk when they have a need, which causes them to have to bend way down when working. I also have students who move to tables which are away from the group and I find they lose focus easily.
This project would help students to stand and work, or stand and listen when they have a need or have been sitting for too long. Many of my students need to move or fidget and by offering them a way to do so, they will be more focused and able to better learn. These standing desks would allow students to stand while learning, along with being able to swing their feet for some movement.
