As our world becomes increasingly digital, it becomes more and more important to set students up for success with technology. While many of my students are familiar with tablet technology, most of them use it simply for mindless entertainment.
My goal is to provide interactions with technology that are age-appropriate and help target foundational skills for preschoolers.
I believe that technology is an important tool when used thoughtfully and intentionally. With the abundance of exceptional apps being developed and released currently, iPads will provide my students with opportunities to independently engage in highly motivating activities that allow for trial and error and greatly enrich the academic environment. I plan to use the tablets as part of our tabletop center rotations, rotating between different targeted skills that align with the California Preschool Learning Foundations.
