With a set of tablets for our students, we will have the opportunity to teach them technological skills that will prepare them for the future. They will utilize the tablets to learn robotics and coding. This will push their critical thinking, math skills, and provide opportunities for innovation and creativity. We will also use the tablets to support students in literacy. The tablets will provide students with the opportunity to access programs to practice individualized skills to improve their learning.
Technology in the classroom allows us to differentiate learning for students with a variety of learning styles. Integrating technology into the classroom provides students with the tools that will take them into the 21st century. The hands-on tablets supports our students who learn best utilizing a tactile approach. It also provides me with the chance to work with small groups who need intervention while other students are engaging in applications that support their learning.
