I work for a Title 1 school. We are a low income and high ELL populated school. Most of our students struggle to eat three meals a day much less buy schools supplies.
Despite their financial struggles I believe they all have bright futures ahead. I may have future lawyers, doctors, mechanics, pilots, and so many other incredible professionals sitting in my classroom. They will have obstacles that try to block their path but I don't want my lack of state financial support to be one of those obstacles.
As their teacher I am a part of their journey. I want to make their time with me as meaningful as possible.
