This year my students have been doing STEM challenges and activities every week, where they apply creativity and problem-solving skills to solve different tasks. Legos will provide a perfect platform for students to work alone or with others to construct various things.
Legos offer something physical and something imaginative to my students, and that is exactly what they need! Promoting exploration with Legos contributes to the development of increased attention span, higher creativity, and enhanced problem-solving skills. Legos also lay a foundation for logical-mathematical thinking and science reasoning skills.
With Legos, students will have opportunities to have free play time to create their own imaginative creations. They also will have a chance to read and follow specific task cards. They can find inspiration from reading idea books make creations on their own. They will continue to work on teamwork and team-building skills as they work on Lego Challenges.
