I have classroom full of kindergarteners who are eager and ready to learn. These are students predominantly from a high poverty background, that do not always have the opportunity to enjoy having good literature read to them. They are brand new to the public school education and have a true joy for learning. Many of these students find school to be a fun and engaging environment where learning to read is number one on their list.
