The books I have selected address many different social/emotional skills, such as emotional regulation, bullying, worrying and anxiety, anger and impulsivity, manners and being kind, being responsible and following rules/directions, handling disappointment, being empathetic, when "tattling" is "OK", and being honest.
Social/Emotional Learning provides a foundation for safe and positive learning and enhances students' ability to succeed.
To reduce behaviors and conflict that detract from instructional learning time these books will be used to develop skills and problem solving strategies in a whole class setting, in a small group to address specific behaviors or students, or in a 1:1 setting.
