Due to budget constraints, a lot of my students see art as only being copy paper and pencil projects; I want to change that! Art is so much more than that, and my students deserve to experience as many different art meduims as possible, and see visual art as a viable career pathway. I want to use these materials to teach them the techniques of paper marbling and book making. In my classes, we begin each day with a 10 minute sketch. I use this to turn their brains on to creativity mode! With these materials, they will be able to not only learn two incredible art techniques, but also create their very own sketchbook that they will be proud to use and keep their "middle school memories" in. Middle school can be a great time in a child's life. What an awesome way to keep those memories!
