These items will help to facilitate activities that are dynamic and engaging in the Spanish classroom.
Imagine students (no desk environment) sitting with their interactive notebooks in a circle, responding to a prompt, then passing their books to the right, only to have each student respond with questions or comments that further the topic written using the colored stickies provided by donors to this project. With this process occurring multiple times, students will be able to have interaction with the text of others. Now picture the students getting their writing back with different colored papers stuck to their writing. They pick one comment or question to respond to, but they write their response on the white board to share with the class.
One of the ways that we create deeper learning is by having the students interact with each other and each others' ideas about what they hear and read. The materials provided (markers, white boards, erasers and stickies) will provide the students with the opportunity to interact in those ways often.
