So much research is showing that movement increases student learning! I know that as an adult I don't want to sit in the same place all day. Why are we asking 5 and 6 year olds to still very still and quiet in their chairs? We aren't! Flexible seating allows the students to sit in their chair, on the floor, standing learning, and wobble chair learning! Kindergarten is the foundation of their educational success! If we give students another option with seating choices, their minds may open to even more learning! We need to embrace movement and the connections that their brains are making while moving.
