I am wanting these materials to help my students develop knowledge in how electricity works. The Snap Circuits are like wires but built into hard plastic so little ones can explore without being able to break the pieces and there is no risk of electrical shock.
Several hundred combined projects will be made available to 480 students this year. For example students will be able to make a working light system, will power a fan, will power a digital clock. These projects will also allow for exploration of alternative energy.
I believe these will be perfect for a brand new STEM program because I visited two other schools. The teachers there said the students beg to get to use the snap circuits.
