This hydroponic fish tank system will be a hands on learning tool for all of our students. Our younger students will learn what is needed for living things to survive and thrive by taking care of fish and plants. Our older students will be studying the system itself. Learning all of the pieces, pathways, and connections between the living individuals in the system and the nonliving supports.
Exploring and understanding ecological systems is vital to our students' understanding of their own importance in our communities. When our students understand how the pieces and pathways of an ecosystem work together, they can apply that knowledge and understanding to their own healthy living and to all of our communities as they grow.
