We're in our second year of operation, but we don't currently have any outdoor waste bins or recycling containers. This project aims to not only provide our school community with heavy-duty trash bins and recycling, but will also give our teachers and students an opportunity to learn about human impacts on the environment, especially the insidiously dangerous malpractice of garbage pollution, which can harm plant and animal life and which misrepresents our school and our values. We need recycling bins, trash cans, and shade structures. Kindergarten students have been learning about the reducing the warming effect of sunlight in an area. This project will enrich our school environment by creating more recreational shade areas.
Our school environment will become a cleaner, safer, more efficient community of learners and leaders who share a focus on keeping our campus clean and leaving every place better than we found it.
