Make a donation Mrs. McNeely can use on her next classroom project.
Your donation is going to allow students the ability to move around the room and choose different locations to work where they feel most comfortable and can be successful. As a country we have set very high expectations on our youngest learners. I believe that providing them an environment that allows them to move around and change locations helps stimulate their brain and allow them to focus for longer periods of time. Many students are just not able to sit in a chair all day. These items will allow them to chose to sit on the floor, kneel at a table, stand, lay back on a pillow, balance on a yoga ball, or even relax in a comfortable chair to work.
I am wanting to embrace the high energy and movement of my students and pour it into their learning.
As adults we are able to get up and move around and change location when we are loosing our ability to focus. I want to give my students the opportunity to become more independent of their learning by giving them the freedom and ability to choose their learning location. I believe that this will embrace the learning of all my students while also helping those students with learning disabilities succeed by giving them seating options to learn utilizing motor engaging learning styles.
