We are a Title I school so funds are not always available for our students. Our kids have a self guided reading program that they can work on their chrome books but we don't have any headphones to keep the room quiet. This is why I would love to have some headphones in our classroom for the students to use.
While our school is low income, we are fortunate to have student laptops for all of our 3-5 graders. These laptops come in handy since we are a blended learning school and use them frequently for research. However, we are in desperate need of some headphones to go with our laptops. The students use the laptops not only for research, but also various learning games. Without headphones, it becomes very noisy in the classroom and it is difficult for the students to hear their own computers.
I plan to use these headphones to better enhance my students' ability to improve their reading level by using our on line reading program.
I also plan to use them for students to play games to help make learning more fun. With a class set of headphones, we won't have to worry about sharing or being distracted from everyone's laptop. These headphones will be especially helpful for ESL and students with special needs. They will allow them to have books read aloud to them from their laptops.
