As a teacher, I have found one of the most effective teaching strategies in math is to work with students in small groups. At my small group table, I seldom use chromebooks because we are using hands-on math tools. However, the chromebooks are increasingly beneficial to my the kids who are not at my small group table as well as to those who are.
When my students who can work independently are engaged they are able to let me work with my small group students without distractions. Currently I don't have enough chromebooks and several students share or I have to rotate between who needs to do something specific and those who need enrichment.
