Our students need basic needs in our village. We are on an island where all food is flown in. The one grocery is small and very expensive and with little choice.
When asked recently what the students are most thankful for in our school of 113 students, they overwhelming said, "Food!" Teachers and families help one another to include buying students coats, food, school supplies and on.
I have been here for one year and I am still surprised at the generosity of those who have little, the real lack of food, and my heart melts for the truly thankful responses by our students when given food. Gunalcheesh! Thank you!
