I have been a Kindergarten Teacher at Malaga Elementary School for the last 6 years. Malaga is a very small rural town located near Fresno, CA. It is one of the most impoverished neighborhoods in the state. We have a large E.L. population, with 84.4% of the student population being Hispanic. The Median household income for our area is only $17,377 per year. Many of our families lack access to technology, and this is where YOU CAN HELP!!! As an educator, I want to offer my students the best education possible, and that includes staying current in the educational realm. Technology allows my students to collaborate, communicate, invent, connect, and transform learning within our classroom. Some of my students have never traveled outside of Malaga, and technology allows them to see the world! As new technology arises, I hope that donors will aide in my mission to create the best possible education for my young students!
