I teach at a Title I School in an urban setting and my students love to learn and experience new and exciting things. They bring a lot of emotional baggage from home every day and have a hard time staying focused on learning. Many of my students do have parents that help with homework or care about grades. My students love to have fun and learn more by having fun. I really enjoy being able to provide the basic supplies for my students for everyday use and sometimes to take home because they need a pencil for homework and crayons. I need the reading games especially the phonics to help my students read better because many of my students are below reading level and I believe by playing word games they will begin reading at a higher level. The dice will be used for math games to help my students with addition problems and recognizing greater and less than by rolling the dice. The math manipulatives such as unicubes and linking cubes will be used daily in small group to help students with addition, subtraction and place value. The dry erase items are used during whole math checking for understanding when working on math. The suffix, prefix and homophone games will make learning those concepts fun and engaging for my students. We are always in need for pencils and dry erase markers for every day use. The behavior management will help me with classroom management and guide the students to better behavior in the classroom and therefore a classroom of learning. I hope that you will sponsor my classroom and open doors for my students to get the best education.
