I would like to give my 4th through 6th grade students opportunities to create art using techniques they would not typically use. Printmaking is one technique that not many of my students have ever encountered. My students will be able to create a project of their own where there is no right or wrong answer.
Using the stylus and foam printing plates, my students will be able to create their own picture they can stamp onto a piece of paper. They will see how their stamp will reverse the image on the paper.
This project allows students to think outside of the box when it comes to creating a finished product. There will not be step by step instructions for what their finished product needs to look like. This will allow their creativity to flow.
