Due to over a year and a half of covid learning, there are many areas of learning where students are behind in. The materials listed in my project will help students be engaged and work on grade level standards.
Having hands-on math manipulatives, along with a variety of classroom books will keep all students engaged and ready to learn!
The math manipulatives will help my students develop a solid understanding of number sense and place value. (2.NBT.A.1, 2.NBT.B.8, 2.OA.B.1-2). The whiteboards, markers, and erasers will increase engagement in rigorous math lessons.
The numerous reading books in this project will help students develop their reading comprehension skills in both fiction and non fiction text (RL.2.1-2.10, RI.2.1-2.10). Many of these books, along with classroom prizes and snacks will help our students practice vital SEL skills in our classroom.
