This is our BMC classroom. It is a self-contained classroom intended for students who are emotionally disturbed due to mental health issues, abuse, or neglect. Our students are sweet kids who don't always get the recognition they deserve. They thrive on positive reinforcements and are eager to please. The empty room represents the success of our students being able to participate appropriately and maintain their behavior and stamina in their regular ed classrooms. Every Fridays at the end of the day we have an opportunity to reward our students by giving them a social outlet. It's a club where all kids are equal and can communicate appropriately while having fun and playing games. Our students are often misunderstood because they can not properly control their emotions or communicate their feelings clearly. Despite their reputations, they are just kids trying to survive and feel loved.
