The implementation of a Lego wall will give students the opportunity to think outside of the box, to challenge themselves, and to explore areas they are interested in that might not fit the regular curriculum.
Goals of Lego Wall Project:
Encourage students to exercise creativity, spatial thinking, fine motor skills, math, etc.
Give students a stress free space to tinker
Get students in the library media center
Anticipated Outcomes of Lego Wall Project:
Students will pave the way for how the Lego wall is used, creativity and imagination in a 鈥渘on-technology鈥 way. Students will have fun learning in a non-traditional manner
The implementation of a Lego wall in the Library Media Center will allow students to explore STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) activities by placing bricks and characters on the wall to engineer things such as a marble drop, solve fractions, tell & create video stories, buildings & MORE. Creativity is inventing, taking risks, making mistakes, and having fun. Building a Lego wall will achieve these goals and outcomes by providing a space for students to build, create, and imagine, the sky's the limit!
