All students learn differently. By using manipulatives and hands-on learning activities I'm giving my students the opportunity to learn through exploration and play. Kindergarten and first-grade students are very active and curious, and learning to read should be a fun experience! While working in small groups my students will be able to use the Carson Dellosa Language Arts file folder games to become better readers and learn language skills. These activities will allow them to work at their own pace in an individual center, or to work one on one with me to learn a specific skill. These interactive language, phonemic awareness, and reading learning centers allow students to receive repetitive instruction presented in a variety of ways.
