Students learn to love science through exciting hands-on experiments, activities, and projects. The materials I am requesting for my project are to help us implement our new agriscience curriculum, which will give my students exactly that. Our new curriculum is inquiry-based and student-centered, and focuses on the scientific aspects of agriculture. A huge part of our activities and projects is using beakers to measure, test, and analyze chemicals, liquids, soil samples, and much more.
I believe that by teaching my students STEM-based agriculture, I will be cultivating a passion for agriscience in them that will last a lifetime. Students will be learning about concepts similar to those in their core classes, but in a different and more engaging way. These materials will help open the door to further science and inquiry-based learning for all of my students for years to come.
