The students at L.E. yearn for the opportunity to be able to express their feelings and emotions. At our school currently, there is a shortage of any materials that allow children to take the time to learn about feelings and learn about appropriate ways to manage their feelings. According to research, we know students who are exposed to social emotional learning materials are more successful in academics. Our school is in a low socioeconomic location and students are often unable to engage in opportunities to learn skills through the community. With this section of the library, students' will find a comfortable, quiet, and calming spot to learn. If needed, students will be able to check these books out! Our students would greatly benefit from these materials for social emotional success, and ultimately academic success!
