In Our School there are two sections of Digital Electronics (DE), which is a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Class. DE is an upper level PLTW class reserved mostly for juniors and seniors who have completed the introduction PLTW class(es). Students learn the basics of bread-boarding, Parallel & Series circuits, and then begin to build their own circuits utilizing the Multisim Program and CDOS chip. DE is very activity based but there are not many major projects provided by the PLTW program. Integrating the Drone Kits into the curriculum would greatly increase practical application of the knowledge students are learning and it will increase interest around the program/ engineering pathway. Since there are two sections, if funded, the DE classes will be able to 3D print their own frames, modify the design on the Drone. Hopefully, by the end of the year the two DE classes will be able to compete in an obstacle course against each other.
