As a teacher I have always tried to make reviewing and going over a skill more fun. One way of doing that is by playing a game. Students have fun and at the same time they are learning and are gaining more knowledge on the subject.
Games make learning so much more fun! The Jenga games I have selected come with 5 different colored blocks. The students will work against another team or partner and play Jenga. However, the difference between the regular game and review is that when the students pull a colored tile and they will flip to that colored page in their packet and do one problem. This also applies to the legos. Students can pick a colored lego and then do a problem from that colored page. Instead of pulling things off, like in Jenga, they will get to build something. This will be a way for the students to have some fun and learn
Multiplication is a huge part of 3rd grade and it takes students awhile to get the facts memorized. The multiplication war games and the board games are a fun way to give them the practice they need to continue memorizing their facts throughout the whole school year.
The globe will be used for Social Studies, so students can learn about our world. It is a great way to show students a replica of what Earth looks like and allows them to have a more hands on approach to exploring the Earth and Continents.
