I am a new first grade teacher. I work at school with students who have a lot of needs. Our school is 98% poverty. My students are very respectful and appreciative daily. The smallest gifts and positive comments put a huge smile on their face. This is the reason why I love my students and job day in and day out. Our school has a very transient population. With that said, I typically have 23-25 students.
Each day they try their hardest to be their best and be true scholars.
My students love listening to stories, playing math games, using the computers for math and reading, and reading books in a cozy spot in our classroom.
