I work with Special Education students who have Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and the majority of my students qualify for Title I funding support. Children come in and out of my classroom throughout the day to get small group or 1:1 support in reading, writing, math and to take movement breaks. The students I work with often have a difficult time learning in the same manner as their neurotypically developing peers and often require additional supports and/or materials that aren't available in their general education classroom. My goal is to give them the necessary tools (actual or emotional) so that they can make progress in their classrooms.
