I teach 15 wonderful students in my journalism, newspaper, broadcasting class comprised of sophomores, juniors, and seniors. My students come to class each day with smiles, materials, and a willingness to want to learn. Prior to this year, I have always taught English Language Arts. So this will be my first year teaching the journalism, newspaper, and broadcasting curriculum. At first, I was a little apprehensive about teaching this class when it was offered to me until the first day I met my students. Instantly, the jitters disappeared because they came to class with so much positive energy. During my teacher introduction, I told them my story and all of my students were okay with it being my first year teaching this class. I asked them to be patient with me and they will have my upmost support. Since day one, we have been working on finalizing our first newspaper project. Our goal is to post it on Nov. 6, 2018:)
