The teaching, enriching and organizing materials included in the project helps us address our students' different needs. Our classroom is mostly run through center-based teaching to better reach each individual student. We try our best to stay organized and provide our students with a variety of learning resources to help enhance what they know and bridge the gap to knowledge that they still need to build on.
This project helps address social-emotional learning, all academic content areas and FUN! Continuing with our center-based learning structure will allow us to more efficiently fill the gaps in our students' learning. Unfortunately, in addition to the expected learning regression that occurs with most of our students with Autism, we now have a bigger gap to fill due to the missed in-person instruction that COVID-19 caused. These materials will help us create more efficient and effective centers.
Examples of content standards that will be addressed by these materials include:
- Reading 3/4/5.RF.3
- Reading 3/4/5.RF.4
- Reading 3.RL.1-3
- Reading 4.RL.1-3
- Writing 3/4/5.W.3
- Math 4.NF.1-4
- Speaking and Listening 3/4/5.SL.1
