All of my students are from low-income families, so, therefore, they receive free breakfast and lunch while at school. Sometimes the students arrive late for school, and they miss breakfast. My students go to lunch at 12:25, but from 7:50 until it's time for lunch they are hungry. The students ask daily if I have any snacks, or if they can go ask some of the other teachers if they have snacks. Having our own snacks in the classroom will keep the students from wandering the halls asking teachers for snacks, and we can have more time to work on completing classroom assignments.
Having a printer in the classroom will be very helpful when I run short on copies of activities for my students. The students aren't supposed to be left in the classroom unmonitored, therefore I will not have to leave my classroom.
