My students need activities that focus on the alphabet, letter recognition, sound blending, word building and writing, during Literacy Center rotations. Alphabet tiles will be made from colored card stock. This will allow students to enjoy and create sound blends and create colorful words! The sentence strips will be use from sentence stems to guide students as they learn to write sentences. We are given black line masters for decodable books, through the use of copy machine paper, students will be able to take home a book to practice reading at home. this helps promote stamina in reading. We read and write while learning together. During our whole group and small group time, we use individual white boards for students to practice. The dry erase markers will aid in keeping my students on track as they write and share their ideas on the boards. Students will be learning letters and sounds through the use of these materials. These activities will be use during Literacy Center rotations during our English Languages Arts and Reading time. Magnets will be used to help display students' work. Your generous donation to our project will help my First Grade students have a remarkable year and become stronger readers and writers.
Your generous donation to our project will improve our First Grade classroom by building a community of strong readers and writers.
This will give my students the opportunity to enjoy a successful education experience and change our students' by enriching their lives in the future that they will create and --- having fun while learning!
