The students in my class will use the Kindle Fire to access websites and applications that include abcya, abcmouse, and Tutormate to help them develop vocabulary and build upon reading strategies.
Many of my students have not experienced places outside of their local neighborhood or their own home.
The Kindle Fire will help my students experience the world around them. Using the Kindle Fire we would be able to explore different places and write about them as a class. After this year, I know my students will have become better readers and writers because of all your investment in their education.
I choose specific case colors and headphones colors so that my students can easily find the tools they need to succeed in my classroom. During reading and writing workshop, they will be able to use the Kindle Fire in small groups or individually.
