I am a teacher in Charlotte, North Carolina. I teach at a very diverse school; we are a STEM Magnet school, so some of my students are focused on the pathway of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. The other half of my students are adolescents from surrounding neighorhoods.
With that said, I have a plethora of students to teach every day, and each student has different learning needs. Having a document camera in my classroom, where I could pull student work samples and display them to give real time feedback would really help me push students to meeting the goal of understanding the common curriculum. Immediate feedback is one way to ensure that all students can meet the criteria of an assignment regardless of their learning level.
Flexible seating really helps with students who need to feel more comfortable in a classroom. Something as simple as a different seating style can make students relax and able to focus on the lesson.
