My students are inquisitive and are full of questions and thoughts about how plants grow and what makes them interesting. We have planted outside and hoped for the weather and soil to cooperate. Unfortunately, the weather and soil in Vegas make it extremely challenging to get sustaining results to make observations, track data, and adjust initial thinking.
By donating to this project, not only will my students be able to see the plants growing on the surface, they will also be able to track the growth below the surface with the hydroponic kits. This real world experience will afford them the opportunity to connect science and math with their literacy studies. What a wonderful way this would be to nurture and grow young minds.
