This book will be used as a class read aloud and anchor text for our skills of the week. The lessons taught in this book such as, the importance of reading and its connection to freedom is so powerful. Some students today take literacy for granted, but "F is for Freedom" will enlighten, engage, and educate my students about the importance of literacy and how it is the key to being successful in life.
Most importantly, the beauty of this text is that it not only accompanies our learning skills but is also relevant to our social studies lessons and our school-wide PBIS initiative - compassion, cooperation, and community.
