The iPads would be used by all students throughout the year. During Reading and Math Workshop, students break-out into small group and stations. The four iPads would be a daily station, and allow students to work on Apps that increase both their reading and math skills. The iPads would also be used during my Academic Success time. At this time, I create groups based on student needs. If a student is struggling with fluency, I would place them on an App that helps to increase their reading rate. If a student is deficient in their ability to comprehend, then they could work on online games to help them improve. Basically, the iPads will allow me to better individualize instruction for my students while having access to the technology they need.
